“Too Young To Go Bald” BBC Documentary
Earlier this year in March, a documentary titled “Too Young To Go Bald” was featured on the BBC network. The video was available for streaming online, yet only for residents of the UK. I recently found the full video available on Vimeo and wanted to share it with you all. This documentary displays the lives of several young adults who are dealing with hair loss. By the end of the video there were no miracle cures for these individuals, however, all seemed to be comforted by sharing their situation with others who understand what it’s like to experience loss of hair. I think many of us will find this presentation therapeutic as well.
If you enjoyed the video feel free to click the like button or leave a comment on the producer’s Vimeo account, who was kind enough to upload it for all to view.

The 2018 American Hair Research Summit took place this week in Orlando, Florida from 5/14 – 5/16. The summit consisted of many presentations from hair researchers from all over the world. The subject matter was per usual; topics ranging from androgenic alopecia, to areata, to hair follicle biology and more. If you’d like to browse over the presentation abstracts from the Summit, please click here.
Coincidentally, the European Hair Research Society is having its annual meeting starting today, 5/18 – 5/20 in Bologne, Italy. The final program for the EHRS meeting can be viewed here. I did not see anything related to the Brotzu lotion listed.
And of course, there were major headlines related to a drug for osteoporosis, WAY-316606, which could be potentially be very useful for hair growth someday. Here’s a background article on this develop and also the scientific article published by Dr. Nathan Hawkshaw, Ralf Paus, and team. If human trials are announced for this drug, Follicle Thought will certainly report on them.
Like all of you, I am eagerly anticipating news or updates about important therapies which could be released to the market soon. Follicle Thought will continue to monitor these developments and keep you updated as they occur.
Until next time, Be well.

Thank you so much for your work on this sight. I have permanent hair loss from chemo therapy and it has been worse than the cancer itself. I wear a hat everyday and never want to look in a mirror. I am a female. I can’t wait until they can clone or regrow hair :). Bless You Threasa Melton
Hang in there Threasa,
I know you have heard lots of time that beauty comes from the soul and, guess what? it really does!
And I have a feeling that you are a beautiful person both inside and outside.
There is strong evidence that sooner than later (maybe in the next 2 to 4 years) therapies for your condition will be available.
Warm Greetings from Greece – Theodore
Great comment, Theodore, Thank you for sharing
Threasa, thank you so much for sharing. Comments like yours inspire me to keep going and I look forward to bringing great news to you and others soon. Keep your head up and keep hope strong. Kind regards

Same here, bud. Let’s hope RCH-01 works and is out at the end of year.
Here’s for a 2018 that bring us another treatment!
@Threasa
You are brave. I really appreciate your comment too many people suffering by this hair loss condition. I also believe beauty comes from soul and i back theodore for his warm comment. My warm greetings too…
Hold on for some more time. I m also waiting since 2010.
Going bald,ESPECIALLY at a young age is horrible.
One of the worst things is hearing wise cracks from jerks and so called “friends” or acquaintance’s who like to point it out, often in social situations.
A full head head of hair is supposed to grow for your life time instead of this balding crap!
