PolarityTE Showing Efficacy For Skin Healing

Tissue regeneration company PolarityTE has recently been featured in the media for positive results from its SkinTE product in a severe burn patient case. The company announced the news formally today via press release. To recap PolarityTE’s recent developments, the company has been rolling out its SkinTE product for skin/wound healing in select hospitals and doctor’s offices over the last half year or so. There have been reports of success from the product thus far, though, no visual data has been shared other than preclinical models seen below.

PolarityTE’s most recent press release contains a link to an article published by a Utah news outlet featuring a young man with extensive burn trauma who has benefited from SkinTE. That same article contains a quote from COO of PolarityTE, Dr. Ned Swanson, reflecting on the results seen in humans using SkinTE thus far: “”There are patients who have regenerated hair. They have sensation, they have sweat glands that are functioning,” This sounds appealing, though does not point to a holy grail for hair regeneration just yet. A quote from the boy’s mother in the article which can help us gauge the abilities of SkinTE thus far: “Several months after Weaver started using SkinTE, the results have not been perfect, but “we have watched it save (his) life,”

For now, it appears that SkinTE may be an improvement on the extracellular matrix products which are commonly used post-hair transplant surgery. I imagine that utilizing SkinTE in this setting is on their mind. Additionally, it appears the company is quietly working on a “HairTE” type product based on this image which is found on the SkinTE page of PolarityTE’s website.

Well, SkinTE was able to reach the market without clinical trials…it would seem HairTE (if it is ever developed) could do the same thing.

Eh, how could it be ? Shouldn’t everything must get through clinical trial before it gets FDA approval, otherwise, people will regard them as scam or snake oil ?

It is amazing how many different companies are getting close to something being made available. I just want an option better than propecia and rogain. ASAP

Kathy, the supplement you asked about appears to be a biotin capsule.
