RiverTown: More Results
As we continue to await a meaningful treatment becoming available and/or progressing in the clinical trial setting, I have more photo results from RiverTown Therapeutics Inc. to share.
This result is a continuation of a previous before and after of a 60 yr old male that has been shared on Follicle Thought from RiverTown. This time, the comparison is from baseline to 14 months of continuous daily application of RT1640 in the 60 yr old male.
Once again, the angles on the photos are not identical, however it is noticeable that the first photo shows a shiny bald scalp and the after photo shows a scalp with hairs growing in. The pigment of the hair has not changed much, if any, which is one of the reported side effects of RiverTown’s RT1640. However, another photo result of RiverTown shown below clearly does display an impressive darkening of pigment in a male subject’s hair.
RiverTown is still awaiting a partner to help advance them through clinical trials to make RT1640 available to the public. Fortunately, lately there have been discussions between Rivertown and several companies about partnership opportunities. Let’s hope that something comes through soon for RiverTown. What do the readers think of these results?
I would be far less sceptical if there was light on the 14-month photo where the bald spot used to be. It also makes me dread the cost of years of daily application.
Thanks for all your work on this site. I appreciate it so much. Would also love to hear from those who have been using the Brotzu product. Anyone willing to share here?
I have been using Trinov since the start of the year. Very difficult to say at this stage. I will give it at least eight months. It is pricey: with transport cost to the UK it is getting on for 100 dollars a month. I would be “happy” to pay that if I get results. Nothing noticeable yet. Very difficult to tell whether it is even slowing or stopping loss. Will let you know. But RiverTown does look very promising. The photos (especially the first one) look impressive. The sooner we can all start to purchase and try for ourselves, the better.
I just stopped using Trinov after 4.5 months due to excessive shedding and no response. Many users are sharing similar anecdotes of shedding and no re-growth in the another online hair forum. The Fidia proof of concept publication has no mention of shedding or sides effects, some of which, such as erectile dysfunction and testicular pain are also being reported by users of Trinov, albeit less than those reporting shedding.
I feel Brotzu hasn’t lived up to all the hype yet again as so many new treatments promise and don’t deliver. If Brotzu was as good as it was made out the internet would be flooded with feedback by now.
From previous communication with Rivertown:
“Thank you for reaching out and your interest in RT1640. We are still hopeful for a 2020-2021 release date. We continue to believe that RT1640 is the answer for AGA.”
“Price will not be an issue, it will be affordable.”
This was an e-mail about a year ago. Not sure what they mean by affordable. I guess same price as propecia? Let’s hope it will be launched in 2020.
The results were more than 10% for menoxidil in 14 months
In the sense that minoxidil over the course of 14 months will achieve 25 or 30%
RT1640 will achieve 35 or 40%
The product must be assessed in terms of /
Does it last a lifetime like Minoxidil or stop use when positive results are achieved?
Is the cost appropriate?
looks promising thats all right now im sure we all want better results i wouldnt like to pay hard earned money every month for mediocre results at the end ive done that with minoxidil and wont waste money again but maybe riverstown can improve results with different doses etc lets hope and wait but well done riverstown its hard work i know
Well after 3 full months of Tesla brushing and derma rolling lam seeing actual regrowth on my scalp after being bald for 20 years.. its fuzzy fine but real,, so if you dont try you dont get.. 3 months rolls my in a blink guys try it..
What is Tesla brushing?
Tesla brush has been discussed here a bit and you can google it..
Good for you. It’s encouraging to hear someone actually doing something and sticking with it. I know you must be happy seeing those results. I just started about a month ago and intend to stick with it. How is it going now ? I believe in dermarolling and posts like yours give me hope . All the best
Looks like it works a lot better than minox would be nice to have a better option. Still waiting on results with Trinov been using it now for three months but not much to say, if no results in six months I will move on to Medipost in July if I can get it from Korea, stem cells will be the best option for everyone I believe.
Hi Michael, What is Medipost?
For me l would rate the first set of photos as reasonable to good if l magnify ie enlarge the detail there is no doubt to me that new hair is growing in a previously bald area
Good result
does anyone know if it is possible to obtain RT1640, be a test patient, etc? even willing to travel to Australia.

Diana Harbort, CEO of Cassiopea, said: “We are very pleased by these excellent results which show that our topical anti-androgen is efficacious in the treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia with side effects similar to placebo and importantly without any systemic side effects. Based on these results, we plan to meet with the FDA mid-year to discuss the planned six-month Phase III trials in men. Hopefully, we will begin our Phase III program in 4Q 2019.”
According to the Follicle Thought Ultimate Guide, the RiverTown product is estimated for commercial release in 2021. With the indication above that they are actively seeking partners, is it possible this date could be brought forward, or does it still depend on completion of trials?

Why is it that these before and after photos are NEVER taken in the same place with same lightning and same distance and share hairstyle to make comparisons easier? Before photo is always under very bright and the after is almost shady shot.
I could take two photos of my head in different lighting with only a minute between them and with some creativity of using lights and comb the result would show stunning regrowth when in reality absolute nothing has happened, perhaps except that I have pulled few hairs out in frustration in between. It would be most basic thing to do and I cannot understand why it is every single time from any company the same situation?
