Aesthetic Tech Forum 2024: Advancements in Hair Restoration

The Aesthetic Tech Forum 2024 is underway (January 25th and 26th) and features a session titled “Revitalizing Radiance: Advances in Hair Restoration“.

Panelists include:

  • Wajdie Ahmad, Executive Chairman & COO of Amplifica Holdings Group, Inc.;
    • Amplifica is a biopharmaceutical company with several treatments in the pipeline targeted towards androgenic alopecia (AMP-303, AMP-203, and AMP-601).
  • Drew Fine, Chief Marketing Officer of Rion Aesthetics;
  • Daniel Gil, PhD, CEO of Pelage Pharma;
  • Neda Mehr, MD, Founder of Pure Dermatology Cosmetic & Hair Center.

The forum is expected to shed light on new developments that could reshape the landscape of hair restoration.

We can tell you that a representative of Rion Aesthetics recently told Follicle Thought that a topical exosome product for hair growth is expected to launch in early 2024 – which may be what Rion is at this forum to talk about.

    Very cool about Rion. Having good results with CosmeRNA so anything new would just assist with progress.

    • Follicle Thought on January 25, 2024 at 1:12 pm

      Congratulations, Keith. I hope the results continue.

      Hi Keith. Good to hear you’re having good results from COSMERNA. I actually paused it for a while for fear of side effects developing and lack of data or eve anecdotal feedback. However that was about 6 months ago, and I have read about afew people getting postive results now (and by that I mean reduced shedding and maintenance…which is all one can really expect I feel from this). Can you tell us more about your experience with cosmerna? Have you just achieved maintenance or have you got a little regrowth? Any side effects to speak of? I presume you use as recommended once every 2 weeks? Do you use any other treatments? Thanks so much.

    Have we not heard this for the past 20 or thirty years?

    • Follicle Thought on January 25, 2024 at 1:12 pm

      Yes, in one form or another. It’s always best to temper our expectations. But news is news!

    Daily, wait for tomorrow.

    No updates for Eirion Therapeutics yet? They’ve been very quiet, I hope they are still persueing there ET-02 product.

    Hopefully get an update on Gt20029 phases two results in the coming months.

    Do you think any game changer product will be released this year in terms of hair regrowth and potentially no side effects?

    I would love for a androgenetic alopecia cure and grey hair cure to come out soon but doesn’t seem likely…

    Is there any update on Moogene Medi and the sonoporation technique to apply topical dutasteride with micro-bubbles?

    Any new start-ups/disrupters in the hair loss space using AI? There must be someone, somewhere looking to AI to advance this space quicker than the current pace.

    • Brenda on February 28, 2024 at 12:14 pm

      I’m praying AI can cure hair loss.

    Just a thank you. Im badly hurt by this and sometimes feel like I cannot take anymore.

    Been waiting for 30 years for a cure. All my best years.

    I trust I will get all relevant news here. Thank you once again.

    is there any summary of what happened in the Forum?

    I wish Trump would make a warp speed commitment and Elon Musk would finance it

    • Deedee on February 2, 2024 at 10:54 pm

      I second that thought. Elon is looking like he may need to invest in his own hair loss treatments pretty soon himself. How can he be reached to ask if he would consider it?

    • Brenda on February 28, 2024 at 12:11 pm

      I’m with you. I have actually thought about that myself.

    First news article from Eirion therapeutics in we’ll over a year. No mention about their hair candidates just skin. I did notice on their pipeline page that et02 for androgenetic alopecia has moved up and IND ready for phase 1 but hair greying sadly hasn’t moved any on pipeline still pre IND. Hopefully some more information to come and they get the ball rolling this year.

    Hello admin and everybody!
    Very interesting to see this much action surrounding the efforts for treating (one day maybe curing) hair loss!
    On another note, I recently read your article on Veradermics’ oral VDPHL treatment. I looked it up online and found their website, along with the timeline for the aforementioned drug and some other products. Here is the link: https://www.veradermics.com/pipeline
    I have some questions though. Under “MOA Delivery” the oral tablet is listed as “Confidential MOA” . I don’t quite understand what “MOA” is in this case, even after looking it up. Now, it appears to be in phase 2, close to phase 3 if I understand correctly, but there is no information available for these trials. Is it because it is characterised as “confidential”? Why would they not disclose the data? Do you happen to know anything about it?

    • Ssthy on February 8, 2024 at 8:18 pm

      MOA = Mechanism of Action.
      Basically saying how the drug works.

    What’s your opinion on Vermadermic’s oral VDPHL tablet? On their website, it states that it is currently in phase II trials if I understand correctly. Do you know any more information about it? Why do you think they keep it confidential? Is there maybe an estimate on the publication of the results or even the release in the market?

  13. Andy on February 10, 2024 at 1:38 am

    Thanks for your work. Could you possibly give a qualified guess if we will see a cure or new effective treatment in 2024,25, 26 or 27.

    And which products could it possibly be?

  14. Andy on February 10, 2024 at 1:43 am

    Is there any realistic hope for a cure or new effective treatment in 2024-25-26 or 27?

  15. looking on February 10, 2024 at 8:44 pm

    Pelage pharma is one of the most interesting in that list. they should be going into a trial soon according to what was said. I wish I heard what they said on stage.
