Medipost: NGF-574H Hair Growth Product Presentation

Today, I will be sharing some expanded information I have received about the exciting new hair growth cosmetic “NGF-574H” from Medipost of South Korea.

Earlier this year in May, I initially covered Medipost’s development of NGF-574H. The product itself is a stem cell-derived serum which has been tailored to be effective at preventing hair loss and stimulating hair growth. To do this, Medipost takes a specific type of stem cell called a mesenchymal stem cell or MSC. The MSCs are then subjected to an in vitro environment, in the laboratory, which mimics the biology of androgenic alopecia. The theory here is that by creating an artificial alopecia environment around these stem cells, they will react by secreting hair growth promoting factors or proteins to create balance. Medipost then collects these factors in what is referred to as a “stem cell conditioned medium” and puts that into a nice little bottle for you to use at home.

The process described above and more data from Medipost’s clinical trial of NGF-574H are displayed in the pdf below (some pdf data needed to be withheld for confidentiality purposes). To date, Medipost has conducted two clinical trials with NGF-574H and both resulted in successful outcomes. There is also another larger 6 month study planned which is set to begin this month in Korea. Note that this is an additional study and the NGF-574H product is already expected to launch in Korea in Q1 2019.

@admin, great info. Thanks. However, what puzzles me is that there is no info regarding this on their website (http://www.medi-post.com/). What is your thought regarding this ?

However, there is another website (http://www.medipost-dermocare.co.kr/en/column-en/2018/09/9533/), seems like a blog, cover medi-post ‘s product in greater details. Do have any ideas who they are ?

The link to the democare site is right in Medipost’s main website, you just have to find it. Glad you enjoyed the article, thanks again.

  6. Kira on November 8, 2018 at 12:34 am

@admin: page 12 from the presentation slides says: “Market launch is due in 1Q 2019 first for professional use, followed by consumer use”

    What is “professional use” ?

  7. JenG on November 8, 2018 at 1:44 am

Impressed…can we expect any cosmetic release soon that will be available worldwide?

    Thanks

    Hi
According to your explanations it seems this is only for activation of dormant follicle because when it is a solution to use, controlling the use of solution is impossible so if it will contact with forehead it should create new follicle in fore head so, it is concluded that this one help to activate dormant follicle. Also when you see provided document here , this product compared with Minoxidil so this act like mino!!

@admin: you mentioned that medipost has conducted 2 trials up to date. Hence, would like to know:

    1) how many months did each trial last ? I presume 1 of the trial was a 4-month proof of concept trial, which was presented in the above presentation. how about the other trial ?

    2) was there a lot of males with AGA in these trial (the POC trial has only 1 men vs 29 women).

    3) would you be able to share the 2nd trial result ?

    many thanks

Kira, check out the last slide in the pdf please. For now that’s all the info I have.

I got excited by reading this post, but I got less excited when I looked at the Phototrichogram for hair density of the PDF. Maybe it’s just me, but the 16w image looks almost the same as 0w image. Can’t see the improvent there. How about you guys?

I have to say, that this Product looks worse then Tinov.
No Studies on Men, only Women.
The longest study isn’t at least 2 months.
And there isn’t a better result then Minox.
Hopefully the new study will include Men and will take long enough!

    • Follicle Thought on November 8, 2018 at 3:48 pm

Just to inform you they have already completed a 4 month and 6 month study. Thanks for reading.

Was the question answered about dormant follicles. My hair hasn’t grown back since chemo in 2003. Was told by ayse if estrogen loss and dormant follicles. Thanks

Is this vasodilator? I see it was compared to minoxidil, but I’m not sure if it’s just the results they were comparing.

    • Follicle Thought on November 8, 2018 at 3:46 pm

The pdf does mention that it potentially has a vasodilator effect..

  14. Sean on November 8, 2018 at 3:20 pm

Why are they comparing to 2% minoxidil. Seems like smoke and mirrors?

  15. Kira on November 8, 2018 at 8:24 pm

@admin: why did they conduct the trial for 29 female and only 1 male ? This has bugged me quite long time ago

  16. Hope on March 21, 2019 at 7:35 pm

    Hi Joseph,

Any idea as to when this product will release? I thought it was set to go to market this year in Korea. Do you happen to know if this is a topical application or injectable? Thanks!!

    • Follicle Thought on March 21, 2019 at 8:23 pm

It’s a topical and I have not heard any word from the company as to when it will be released. When the news comes I’d be happy to share.

      • Russell Dee on June 6, 2019 at 8:11 pm

I see they applied it for a mere 16 weeks and they only applied it once per day. Do they know what would happen if a person uses it longer than 16 weeks and applies it more than once per day?

  17. piladewiba on August 18, 2019 at 7:48 am

As always, nice PowerPoint, with cool charts and theory… But where are the photos? What a joke! These companies scamming desperate people should be sue.

    • Follicle Thought on August 18, 2019 at 11:27 am

Yes hopefully there are some new photos coming from the latest trial and users in Korea/S.Arabia

NGF-574H HAIR TONIC EARLY BIRD EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

Recently I received many inquiries asking how oversea customers order the product. We are going to set up a website for online direct purchase after official product launch in Korea at the end of this month. However, there are still many who cannot wait.

I am happy to announce that Celino decided to open an early bird product experience program for oversea customers to try NGF-574H hair tonic before the online website with early adopter benefits.

Please review attached form, fill out and send to join this special event. Product amounts are limited for this event. Thanks for your enthusiasm and support.

  19. Jengo on October 18, 2019 at 5:57 am

    The special event is over.

Can anyone let me know if overseas customers can go ahead to buy this?

    What is the website?

How many additional hair can I expect per cm square.

    If I am a Ludwig 2, can I expect a full regrowth?

My hair loss has now become quite visible.

I feel ashamed going out without

    • Follicle Thought on October 18, 2019 at 12:20 pm

In the recent article comments Welsh Dragon said they will be creating a website for overseas customers soon. I would not expect a full regrowth as a Ludwig 2 but perhaps it could improve your situation. People are just beginning to try the product, and it does seem to be produce better results for women. Let’s see how the first customers are responding to it.

I notice in the trials they applied ng topical twice per day and some seem to be using only once perhaps that’s where it may not work you will have to use it twice to get a real review?
