WAY-316606 Product Release Update 2020

In this article I have a brief update to share regarding the anticipated release of a product based on the WAY-316606 research by Giuliani Pharma.

After a long break in communication I’ve received some updated information regarding the development of a WAY-316606 analog product from Dr. Barbara Marzani, Project Manager of Research & Development at Giuliani Pharma. Around this time last year, Dr. Marzani shared with Follicle Thought that Giuliani was investigating several analogs of WAY-316606, one of which could be developed as an over-the-counter aka cosmetic hair growth treatment. An analog is a molecule which has a similar structure to another molecule and may have a similar function but with slight variations such as having less of a chance to cause side effects.

It was recently brought to my attention by a Follicle Thought reader that the Giuliani Hair Science website no longer contained a section on the WAY-316606 analog research which Giuliani has titled its “Wnt liberation therapy.” Thus, I contacted Dr. Marzani to ask if the Wnt product was still being developed. She assured me that the project was still in progress and the website was being updated with new sections, also, much to my surprise she informed me that the product is planned to launch in the Italian market by the end of the 2020. Dr. Marzani added that a peer-reviewed article on a clinical trial of the chosen WAY-316606 analog will be publishing within the next several months before the launch of the product. With that, she also pointed me to a recent publication of a Sandalore clinical trial of which she is an author alongside Dr. Ralf Paus.

This is very interesting news and could turn out to benefit both men and women who are seeking additional or alternative treatments for their current hair growth regimen. Let’s remember for now that we won’t know the true potential of this treatment until it’s released to the public. The clinical trial publication will give us a better idea of efficacy and then the first 4-6 months of consumer reviews will be the deciding factor. With that said, I’m hoping for a good outcome and I’m pleased that we have a chance for something useful and tangible in 2020.

(Update: Please see the comments section for discussion about the actual WAY-316606 analog product which was released in Italy. We are awaiting any notable reviews from users.)

Thanks to Barbara Marzani for sharing this information for our readers and we hope that things go well for her company over the next months.

(Also, the Sandalore clinical trial link is now corrected)

I’ve asked for access to the paper and no response from Giuliani, unfortunately that means they don’t have anything meaningful to show for. Oh well.

Sonia, my condolences to your situation. I wish you well. Please use a browser which translates the text. I posted an update in the article. In these comments one or two people have described their experience with the WAY product, it seemed like nothing special.

Nice scoop yet again Joseph! Leery of a cosmetic treatment but will keep an open mind, agreeing with the sentiments you expressed in your last sentence.

    • Follicle Thought on August 29, 2020 at 7:13 pm

Thanks big guy! Yup, I’m keeping hopeful and looking forward to the clinical trial data coming soon. I figure, if the data looks really good, then there is a strong chance that the consumer efficacy will be at least good.

  3. Devit on August 30, 2020 at 12:02 am

Will it only work in telogen effluvium to prevent shedding?

    • Follicle Thought on August 30, 2020 at 9:18 am

Hi Devit, I’m not familiar with WAY-316606 being intended for telogen effluvium alone. Did you ask this because it’s an over the counter product? The product is intended to create hair growth, like I mentioned we will see some results in the clinical trial publication coming within the next months.

      • Devit on August 30, 2020 at 9:52 am

        Hello Admin,
Thanks for the reply. I asked this because the ‘Publication’ link that you have shared in article, redirects to a page where title suggests that it is to correct telogen effluvium.

Perhaps I just read the title and concluded it.

        • Follicle Thought on August 30, 2020 at 10:02 am

That study is related to Sandalore Devit, it’s a different molecule than the WAY analog.

  4. MRKA on August 30, 2020 at 2:51 am

    Hello Admin,

    Encouraging news…thank you.

That leaves us with potentially 4 products this remauning year.
    1. WAY-316606
    2. Stemore functional cosmetic
    3. AB-103 Shampoi
    4. The cap develooed by UW-Madison

    Do I recall properly?

Fingers crossed one of them will be better than NGF-574H

    Cheers

    • Tom on August 30, 2020 at 5:48 am

Do you have any updates on point 4 in the above post admin?

    • Follicle Thought on August 30, 2020 at 9:15 am

Thanks MRKA, of that list I believe only Wnt liberation product and AB-103 shampoo are likely to release this year. I heard an update from Stemore that the functional cosmetic they are developing may end up going the drug route, but I will get clarity on that in the next weeks. Suffice to say it’s not coming out this year, though.

Also, on the cap developed at Wisconsin-Madison, the professor told me that he has been delayed for the better part of the year due to corona. The pilot trial has not begun yet and thus the cap is still a ways off. I would guess that a pilot trial for the cap will be in Q1 2021 and will update with any news.

      • MRKA on August 31, 2020 at 11:05 am

Thanks a lot for you reply admin.

With a bit of luck we may face an ‘important’ decision at Xmas time
        Use WAY-316606 or AB103+minox
assuming that WAY-316606 shows adequate efficacy

Which one to choose will be the question of 2020.

But having the choice of two new treatments in addition to the existing ones is a luxury we have never had in the past.

        • Follicle Thought on August 31, 2020 at 11:43 am

Sounds good MRKA, and also if the Wnt liberation product is good then another idea may be minox in the morning and Wnt product at night.

        • Vikrant Tiwari on July 18, 2021 at 7:21 am

It’s july 2021 now but no new update about the product, is it gonna release in market or not?

Vikrant, the product has been released months ago, please read these comments.

  6. Andre on August 31, 2020 at 2:26 am

Can way-316606 grow a bald hair? Or is it just to thicken hair?

    • Follicle Thought on August 31, 2020 at 8:44 am

That question can’t be fully answered until we see trial results and people try it in the market, but likely to thicken hair.

      • Mark on September 4, 2020 at 2:13 pm

I thought the whole buzz behind WAY-316606 was because it inhibited SFRP1 and regrew hair rather than just thicken it?

        • Follicle Thought on September 4, 2020 at 3:36 pm

I understand what you mean but remember that WAY-316606 was tested in follicles in a dish. Let’s see how the product did in its clinical trial and then see how it does in the consumer landscape.

          • MRKA on September 5, 2020 at 3:31 am

            Hi Admin,

Marks post raises a fundamental issue.
Is there a consensus if a follicle is dead or just dormant after many years of no hair growth?
If a person has a bald patch for decades and the follicle is dead nothing will help to regrow hair. Only Follica or Tusji can do this as new follicles must be generated.
However, I recall seeing pictures where a senior man regrow quite a bit of hair. But then we dont know how long he has had the bald patch

            Please advise

            Thanks
            MRKA

            • Follicle Thought on September 5, 2020 at 10:56 am

              Hi MRKA,

Many years dormant = (for all intents and purposes) a “dead” follicle.
It’s not true that “nothing” will help to regrow a dormant follicle for decades. What’s true is that no current treatments will regrow it (minox or fin). RT1640 has shown a moderate capacity to regrow hairs after decades of dormancy. It’s not a miracle grow but it regrows hairs around the edges of the horeshoe. Would caution the optimism on Follica at this stage though.

  7. Dale on August 31, 2020 at 11:27 pm

If the peer-reviewed article on the clinical trial will be similar in design to the Trinov peer-reviewed article, which involved a company specializing in clinical tests and marketing for cosmetic companies, I won’t need 4-6 months of consumer reviews to know if this works or not…

    • Follicle Thought on September 1, 2020 at 8:34 am

No worries Dale, even though it does not really have a relationship to this molecule, we all remember Trinov. But, for the record, Trinov did not publish a peer-reviewed article.

    • Yoda on September 6, 2020 at 4:54 pm

In regards to dead vs. dormant follicles, Yoda went thru a bad shed after Dr. Lee went out of business, thus hair went into the crapper for about 10+ years. Even though I stemmed the loss by switching from fin to dut there was no improvement in “regrowth” However I switched topical brands and added oral minox and my hair is back to where it was ten years ago. So there’s that, some real world experience that demonstrates follicles can be revived after 10 years.

  8. Dale on August 31, 2020 at 11:27 pm

Sorry for being less than hopeful about this, and for evoking the ghost of Trinov, but the disappointment still lingers…

    • MRKA on September 1, 2020 at 4:44 am

      Hello Dale,

Yes, the Trinov BS certainly has had a negative emotional effect on many people. Mind you, the study released before the Trinov sale started clearly indicated that its just glorified water.

But anyway, the most important thing when using a new product is not to STOP a proven treatment. Just use the new product as an addition to your current regimen.

In my case I would never ever stop using Avodart. But I take it also for its intended purpose (BPH). Thus, its out of question anyway.

    • Yoda on September 6, 2020 at 4:55 pm

      The ghost of Trinov…haha! 🙂

Hii admin! way 316606 when it will available in India

    • Follicle Thought on September 5, 2020 at 10:53 am

Hi Khan, the product will be released in Italy, most likely they will sell mail order to India.

  10. Fabio Rampoldi on September 5, 2020 at 11:06 am

    Hello Admin,
I am an editor of an Italian website and admin myself of a forum about hair loss. I thank you for the many updated news that you provide us on new treatments against baldness.

I have followed the evolution of the Giuliani product containing an SFRP1 inhibitor and the recent updates of Dr. Barbara Marzani who said that the product will be released at the end of the year.

I did some research on line and I saw that the product is not only out and available, but it is already sold on line with big discounts. If you do a web search with “Bioscalin Capillary Activator iSFRP-1” you will get several offers for this vial that should be used once a week.

I don’t know when the product has been distributed, there are no official Giuliani communications. I tried to contact the company and Dr. Marzani herself to know more, but so far I haven’t received any answer. Maybe you who already have an established contact with her can clarify this issue.

Here you can see just an example of an online pharmacy that sells it at 50% discount:

    https://www.parafarmaciacravero.com/bioscalin-attivatore-capillare-isfrp-1-2-fiale-10499.html

I wrote an article on our website about this new product (which you can easily translate automatically with Deepl, Google Translator, etc.).

    https://calvizie.net/cura-calvizie-gia-disponibile-il-nuovo-trattamento/

    Thanks again

    Fabio

    • Follicle Thought on September 5, 2020 at 1:39 pm

Thank you for sharing Fabio. Very interesting. Yes, I will follow up with Dr. Marzani regarding the product.

Hmm, no photos shared on the Bioscalin website. I’m not thrilled about that at the moment but it’s still interesting. Thanks again very much for sharing.

    • Abbot on December 26, 2020 at 1:39 pm

30% off according to the website. Where is it 50% off?

  11. BAUMER on September 6, 2020 at 7:15 pm

I would also kindly point out that Sandalore is already currently available from the same Giuliani under the product line “Bioscalin Revolution” in Italy (only in Italian). This includes a shampoo, a topical spray, and a serum. I believe it is only marketed to stop hair shedding. Will post links.

  12. Baumer on September 6, 2020 at 7:35 pm

Here the link to Sandalore products. More intel would be fabulous. I live in Austria and would be happy to make a *business trip* top Italy this year and report on my findings on Bioscalin Capillary Activator iSFRP-1. The clinical study in question here is going to be crucial.

    https://www.bioscalin.it/prodotti/signal-revolution

    • Yoda on September 6, 2020 at 8:24 pm

This seems so “cosmeticee” to me, like stuff we’ve seen before wit no appreciable results. Hoping for a difference but not anticipating it.

  13. Baumer on September 6, 2020 at 10:44 pm

Sadly my opinion falls in line with Senor Yoda’s. However: I think the clinical study on iSFRP-1 + some additional time on feedback will be necessary to judge. As for sandalore, it appears you can buy it already in a dropper to add to topicals/shampoo etc., although here too we’d need more user data + a reliable source. To me, Giuliani products seem absurdly overpriced for what they offer. But I will look eagerly at the iSFRP-1 trial results.

  14. Baumer on September 6, 2020 at 10:48 pm

^Italian user comments on Sandalore Giuliani products (mostly female, from what I can tell) state that the Bioscalin Rev. products indeed help to stop hairfall quite markedly. But we will need more reliable info than ananymous internet product reviews (you can search and use google translate if you don’t speak Italian).

    • Thiefofjoy on September 7, 2020 at 2:22 pm

I’m on a mission to stop my crazy shed, maybe I can be a reliable source. Can you add a link to the exact products that were reviewed?

  15. MarcO on September 7, 2020 at 6:48 am

Hello, sorry if I got something wrong but is this Italian stuff you are currently discussing in the comments the same product the article is about? A products containing “way316…whatever”? Or is this just something similar? I kind of had some hope that a product containing “way316…” could actually have an effect but that stuff seems to be scam to me or at least not that helpful.

    Thanks in advance

    • Master V on September 7, 2020 at 11:44 am

Yeah seriously, I hope what you guys are talking about isn’t the product we were waiting for. I don’t know much about it since it’s in Italian. But it looks a little sketchy. Hopefully we hear soon about the product that’s suppose to come out before the end of the year that contains WAY-316606. Maybe admin can clear some things up. He always does. Thanks for your hard work.

      • Follicle Thought on September 7, 2020 at 11:57 am

I will hopefully have the answer soon whether this Bioscalin product is the Giuliani WAY product or if there is something else coming.

  16. L on September 7, 2020 at 10:24 am

This is EXCITING!!! Thank you for getting scoop!

  17. Brian on September 7, 2020 at 11:41 am

Quick question :Has the iSFRP-1 ever been available in a topical for hair loss and is it different than the Sandalore product? I’m a bit confused if they’re one of the same? Planning on ordering online asap. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. Just opinion.

  18. Drago77 on September 9, 2020 at 2:03 am

1/week dosage could be a sign that the substance can generate adverse effects?

    • envy on September 9, 2020 at 4:26 am

I think there is a small risk of… cancer. (Link removed)

    • MRKA on September 9, 2020 at 4:32 am

It could, but it could be a sign that its simply enough.
To be honest, its a pain in the a** to apply a topical daily or even twice.
If one day it is proven that is effective as minox, I would use this product even if its much more expensive.
I have very distant memories of messy oily minox hair.
      Fingers crossed…soon we know more.

  20. JCMartin on September 9, 2020 at 11:57 am

Replicel about to fold guys.. they are issuing stock to pay outstanding trade payables. No volume or interest in the shares at all. I bet they get delisted by end of the year or early next. RCH-01 results were not even close to keeping investors interested.

Many have to fail before a true breakthrough!

    • Follicle Thought on September 9, 2020 at 7:51 pm

Thanks for sharing JCMartin. Not the greatest news, but good to know.

  21. Hopeful on September 10, 2020 at 1:52 am

Just curious, why are you cautioning the optimism on follica? I was feeling decently hopeful about them especially as they head into phase 3 after a very impressive phase 2.

    • Follicle Thought on September 10, 2020 at 11:46 am

Hopeful, only cautioning people that think Follica is going to be something above and beyond what it is. When I hear people say Follica will give 30 terminal hairs per cm2 I can’t help but think they are overestimating it a bit. Still should be a good treatment option, though.

      • tiar11 on September 11, 2020 at 11:18 pm

  22. Curious on September 10, 2020 at 7:04 am

So what makes them able go the cosmetic route rather than the drug route? Can any company just choose go cosmetic rather than drug? For example why topical fin needs to be drug and can’t just be sold a cosmetic?

    • Follicle Thought on September 10, 2020 at 11:48 am

They are able to go the cosmetic route because the molecule that they chose (which was not WAY-316606) fit the requirements of a cosmetic molecule. I don’t know all of the guidelines on what determines a drug or cosmetic.

Something to be excited about, a potential treatment that’s actually in clinical trials as opposed to…well, you guys know the rest of what I’m going to say! 😉

  25. JayJames on September 11, 2020 at 7:15 am

Wow you know it’s big when this Yoda guy permits excitement…. I have a question admin- if this trial proves successful how long roughly till it could be available to the public. Like if it’s efficacy and safety is proven could it be a really quick zoom through the remaining trials?

    • Follicle Thought on September 11, 2020 at 9:30 am

Are you talking about Histogen Jay?

      • JayJames on September 11, 2020 at 11:18 am

        Yeah Histogen haha

        • Follicle Thought on September 11, 2020 at 11:25 am

If everything went really well I believe Histogen could be out in the range of 2024-25. They would only need a phase 2b and a phase 3 at this point in the US.

          • Jay James on September 11, 2020 at 1:41 pm

Ah cool- so could be quite quick in the grand scheme of things… oh also on a tangent I’m always intrigued- do the patients who partake in these trials get sustained access to these products after the trial, or do they see positive results but then have to revert back to their original state of hair loss until the product is released to the public at large?

            • Follicle Thought on September 12, 2020 at 11:13 am

Trial participants do not get sustained access to the product. If they did the trial spots would be extremely sought after.

    • Yoda on September 11, 2020 at 12:00 pm

Yoda is excited about treatments that are actually in clinical trials on human beings. Yoda is neither excited or unexcited about far out, unproven treatments that have little info that people are speculating wildly about.

  26. LouiSarkozy on September 11, 2020 at 9:26 am

just saw this on the italian forum quote from an administrator named ” proxy” : ” Beh ci mancherebbe che non si possa mettere sui capelli con Aga” . which can be translated by : ” well god forbid it can’t be put on hair with aga”.. sound like another bad news to me

    • Yoda on September 11, 2020 at 12:02 pm

It was posted on an internet forum, it must be true…smh.

  27. Shia on September 11, 2020 at 10:01 am

Your translation is not correct. It means it obviously can be used on hair with aga, but turning vellus hair into terminal ones is a whole different story. Let’s just not hype too much, we have no data trials of this cosmetic, and in the product description there is not a single mention of it working for androgenetic alopecia.

My order will be arriving soon:

Buongiorno, il suo ordine è in spedizione.

    • MRKA on September 12, 2020 at 2:15 am

Thanks Brian, for testing it for us.

I guess for the price and extreme ease of application its probably worth it.
Just dont stop other treatments you are on. That is vital if this product does not do anything. Otherwise you could be in for a nasty surprise.
Anyway, maybe you get some benefits due to synergistic action.
Altough I find it hard to imagine that this is the stuff that is to be released officialy towards the end of this year.

FYI, I was originally told the product would be released in September, but did not want to share an exact date in case of delays etc. By the end of the year was a much more reasonable timeline.

        • Master V on September 12, 2020 at 3:12 pm

Just wondering, do you believe this is the product or you think something else might come this month? Thanks for your the updates.

          • Follicle Thought on September 12, 2020 at 3:47 pm

I dont know Master V. At this point I think it’s likely this is the product, but there could be another one.

          • Master V on September 12, 2020 at 3:58 pm

Fingers crossed that this product will give at least decent regrowth or another product is still to come. With results to show.

  29. Mjones on September 11, 2020 at 6:57 pm

If it’s going cosmetic it 99% snake oil. Sorry but that’s the truth. It will actually prob make you shed more hair. If it worked you would have seen hype about it on news channels. Plus its prob goikg to be sold at the vitamin shop under herbal treatments for 60 bucks next to Keratinique. Lol. There is that 1% chance though this stuff actually does something…..histogen phase 1/2 almost complete. Waiting to see pics and data before I talk any garbage about them. Will give the new formula a chance;)

  30. Brian on September 12, 2020 at 2:59 pm

I don’t think the product has been on the market long enough for us to hear if it is working well or not. I believe the Italian market release has only been about a month and it seems to be getting a lot of attention. Read up on WAY-316606 and you’ll see that some of the preliminary tests from years ago were very interesting. The articles mentioned new growth in as little as 2 days. I had tried Celino and Trinov too. But basically, I’m still stuck with Rogaine from 1998. Trinov didn’t do anything special and Celino worked better than minoxidil, but found that it caused stinging and sleeplessness. I just didn’t like the idea of putting cord blood on my head lol.

    • Mjones on September 12, 2020 at 3:36 pm

Brian the chemical WAY isn’t used in this cosmetic version. It’s like a weaker form if I am not mistaken. The real WAY is what potential works. What is celine? Did you grow hair on it?

    • Krato on September 14, 2020 at 8:24 am

What kind of childish questions are these?

Nobody knows if it will work at all.

2030? Nobody knows! Price? Nobody knows! I bet even the Stemson-guys don’t know!

All we can assume is that Stemson has a solution and is working diligently to offer a product to us in the future.

what exactly is the sandalore product? Im curious to try it out. Especially for telogen effluvium. can somebody provide a link?
    Thanks!

    • Kapil on September 14, 2020 at 10:04 am

Hi everyone we have to look into something near future not 2030.there are Triple Hair,
Samumend and devices from University of Wisconsin and Mane Biotech to come the market well before 2030 keep up spirits

      • John Doe on September 14, 2020 at 10:32 am

@Kapil you are right! … Giulliani, Almirall, Gurus and Triple Hair will be released in the next few months. Mane Biotech device can be ordered by End of this Year and will be available next year. The same I can only guess for the UW Madison device.
Devices in generell will be very interesting and available more and more in short time. (Low Pressure Plasma, Electromagnetic stimulation and better Laser/LED)
Then 2021 will be big in Exosomes, Stem Cell Conditioned Media and functional Cosmetics.
And there will be most probably Microneedle patches. If not please dont forget to Microneedle!

        • Kapil on September 14, 2020 at 12:06 pm

@John Doe thanks you’re well researched Mane biotech particularly interesting

  35. Yoda on September 14, 2020 at 5:34 pm

Admin, I forgot, if you don’t mind, what’s this Mane Biotech all about? The website has very little info but they state this “Become a pioneer user and get a FREE prototype device” Do you think this is on the up and up?

    • diamond on September 15, 2020 at 10:51 am

A Barclay’s blog post that a Mane Biotech founder wrote stated that ‘In common hair loss a hormonal imbalance in the body leads to the inactivation of normal hair growth, leading to hair follicle shrinkage and eventually hair loss’ …. this comment is enough for me to dismiss them… but of course I hope I am proved wrong.

    • Tom on September 16, 2020 at 5:00 am

The WAY analog that Dr Marzani announced by the end of the year (along with peer reviewed study) and the Giuliani Pharma “Bioscalin Capillary Activator iSFRP-1” that is on the market right now are two different products?

    • Envy on September 17, 2020 at 4:35 am

Stemson is the one coming out in… 5 years? *eye roll*

Any chance increase in investments can speed up market reach?

  39. Woofy97 on September 16, 2020 at 4:52 pm

Follicle thought we know stemson has an investment from Allergan but they just secured it for 7.5million dollars

    • Twenti on September 16, 2020 at 5:10 pm

True, Allergen previously invested in Stemson. Allergen has insider information so its new investment is a sign of confidence in their treatment. My guess is that they’re nearing clinical trial stage.

      • Paul_ire on September 17, 2020 at 8:01 pm

Admin, does this mean you’ve been in contact with J Hewitt recently?

        • Follicle Thought on September 17, 2020 at 9:57 pm

          Yes, Paul.

      • D1 on September 18, 2020 at 8:13 am

@FollicleThought both haha. Does that mean they could start next month?

        • Follicle Thought on September 18, 2020 at 4:24 pm

I think TissUse is waiting for J Hewitt to begin a trial and, of course, there’s always a chance they are talking to other strategic partners. I have no info about them starting next month but I suppose it is possible, to be clear I am not alluding to that.

          • D1 on September 19, 2020 at 2:11 pm

They have been looking for a partner for ages

  42. Brian on September 17, 2020 at 5:50 pm

I’ve been using the iSFRP-1 product for two days now. I was a little bit let down that I only received a one week supply for the price. I’m not overly thrilled about the amount that they give you at all. The consistency is similar to a watered down serum. The dispenser is kind of odd too. I’m not sure if the pen will last a week. But the scent is mild and pleasant if nothing else. If it works well and lasts as directed, I’d pay $200 a month nonetheless. Will keep you all posted but not very optimistic as this point. Hopefully, I’m wrong….

    • Fgsfds on September 17, 2020 at 6:21 pm

you are aware you’re supposed to apply it once a week?

    • Damian on September 17, 2020 at 7:39 pm

you need to apply 1 per week, not everyday. One supply is for 6 weeks. so it’s less than 20 euro per month.

    • Follicle Thought on September 17, 2020 at 9:56 pm

Thanks for sharing your progress with us Brian!

  43. Brian on September 17, 2020 at 8:43 pm

I can read, speak and write basic Italian and its intended for daily use. I was in Italy when Trinov lotion first hit the market so I have tried that product. Trinov wasn’t as bad as people say, it was just the price that was so bad and the expectations. In my opinion, it was equal or slightly better than Rogaine. But I’m applying the new Guiliana product several times per day instead of just once and I’ll be the first to know if it works or not. I don’t need any clinical trials since I’ll know on my own. I have a lot of follicles that have miniaturized. Started losing my hair when I was about 25 and now I’m 41. Had the thickest and nicest hair in the world when I was 18… trust me, if it works, I’ll know soon….

    • Follicle Thought on September 17, 2020 at 9:59 pm

It’s odd the translation on the official webpage does say “one application per week.” But perhaps the packaging also advises that you can use the product daily as well?

  44. Brian on September 18, 2020 at 11:16 am

Yes. You are correct. The application is intended for once weekly. I thought it meant to use the vial over the course of one week. They have all of their products on the information sheet and that confused me too. But I still think I’d prefer daily use for the first week. Also, I have noticed a few new hairs growing… will update next week sometime.

  45. Thiefofjoy on September 18, 2020 at 11:41 am

    https://en.kintor.com.cn/news/139.html (dated 9/17/20)

Straight from the source. Nothing groundbreaking, mostly talks about the gel for acne with a brief side note about androgenetic alopecia. But at least it has cleared the Chinese equivalent of the FDA for clinical trials. I like their pace and that their sights are set on both China and the U.S. The more the merrier, I say. There may have been another article that has additional details.

    • Steve on September 19, 2020 at 3:42 am

At this rate I wouldnt be surprised if we got kintor before Breezula. Chinese companies in general seem more about business and getting things done than their european competitors

  48. Brian on September 19, 2020 at 12:02 pm

Quick update- I can see how this new Giuliana product comes into play with a weekly application. On day 5, my scalp had several layers of skin come off when shampooing. Unless I’m mistaken and it was another reason that my scalp was shedding skin, but I really don’t think so. Its like a super cleaning to your scalp. I’m not sure if the product itself along with the once weekly application will be enough to grow new hair. At this point, I’m continuing my minoxidil treatment. At the very least, this product seems to be a good kicker to minoxidil or another better product. But I’m hoping the iSFRP-1 will be enough on its own. Worried about mixing the two but it seemed like the right move until the new product has had time to work. But honestly, it’s looking like some new growth after only day 4 or 5.

    • Yoda on September 19, 2020 at 1:19 pm

Wow, regrowth after 4-5 days. At this rate you’ll be an NW0 in another week or two! 😉
On the non-sarcastic side, good move to keep using minox an the very remote chance (that was sarcasm again) that this concoction does little to nothing.

      • MRKA on September 20, 2020 at 3:54 am

Yoda, what I noticed is that the people who report success never show pictures of their success. It would be easy to send them directly to admin to assess it.
Admin asked people who reported success to submit pictures (NGF-574H methinks). This probably didn’t happen.
        Trinov pictures were never submitted.
Same with NGF-574H. The only positive feedback I have seen is the YouTube guy who had a bit of success. For some reason he does not provide progress reports anymore..makes me wonder.
I have used the stuff. Basically zero results.
Verbal success reports on the internet are to be taken with a grain of salt.

If you express scepticism these individuals get often in attack mode.

For me evidence that their claims are BS.

        • Yoda on September 20, 2020 at 11:50 am

MRKA, you present logical thoughts that I pretty much agree with. Sometimes I think people can have so much hope that they actually think they are having positive results even if they’re not, for a short period of time. Yoda calls these “mirages”, they can cut either way, e.g. you think your hair looks worse than it really does.

  49. D1 on September 19, 2020 at 3:47 pm

@FollicleThought what is the conclusion of this standalone research? It doesn’t seem to have any numbers

    • Follicle Thought on September 19, 2020 at 11:37 pm

      I don’t understand your question.

      • D1 on September 20, 2020 at 6:51 am

@Follicle Thought there are no results in the linked paper on sandalore (on its efficacy)

  50. Yoda on September 19, 2020 at 5:17 pm

Yoda has been suckered over the years, remember I’m freakin old and have been fighting this crap for close to 40 years, with ups and downs, overall pretty good success. That doesn’t mean that Yoda didn’t try some Hail Mary’s with cosmetic treatments that appeared to have the science behind them. My most expensive, and last folly was PRP/CRP with a well known, “respected” doctor, nothing. My advice is that until we have the next treatment (s) by FDA APPROVED BY WAY OF RIGOROUS CILICAL TRIALS is the stick with what we know is proven to work. That is, Topical and/or Oral Minoxidil, Finasteride or it’s off label stronger cousin Dutasteride, possibly Bimatoprost/Lantanoprost as an additive to minox (jury is out). Any of these other sketchy, cosmetic treatments will probably result in disappointment unless by some remote chance they can offer conclusive evidence with clinical trials and evidence based results. Some of you don’t want to believe what Yoda says, I respect that, I’m only trying to save you time, money and heartache based on my experience.

    • Yoda on September 19, 2020 at 5:27 pm

And this might seem counterintuitive, I appreciate Admin reporting on all of these potential treatments, medical, cosmetic or otherwise. These companies seem respected (like Trinov, Turkish cream, Stemoxidine, andenosine, etc.) so it’s news. Admin doesn’t say to buy or try anything, we all get excited by the notion of a potential new treatment. Unfortunately, these companies promote results, like a lot of cosmetic treatments (laser, PRP, etc.) there is some amount of people that have some (minor) results that are not typical, maybe even one person. These treatments typically promise to “thicken and strengthen” your hair…so does conditioner.

      • Brian on September 20, 2020 at 9:49 am

I don’t want to give anyone false hope. Any new growth that I’ve seen is very very suttle. Could just be in my mind too because I’m eager to find a product that actually works. Just want my hair back. Kind of just ripped up the package and barely read the instructions at first. Was excited to receive the product all the way from Italy and it took about a week to arrive. I’m still not super excited about the results yet. Doesn’t seem to be the miracle that I had hoped for yet. I am a NW 7 so I have a long way to go. Minoxidil doesn’t really do much for the top of my head and nothing for the front. Will try second dose next Friday. Probably won’t give it more than a month. Keeping the faith nonetheless…

        • Yoda on September 20, 2020 at 11:54 am

No harm, no foul Brian, I figured you just were very hopeful, Yoda has been there. I posted above on this subject before reading your post. Old Yoda recommends taking a deep breath, giving it time and having realistic hope. I still stand by what I said about qualified treatments backed by real clinical science, seeing a doctor that specializes in hair loss for proper guidance.

        • MRKA on September 21, 2020 at 8:50 am

Brian, its perfectly ok what you are doing.
The cost of the product is low. The time and inconvenience costs are extremely low. A weekly application is virtually nothing compared to other topicals that you have to use daily.
Just take a pic now and perhaps in a month to assess potential progress.
If there is…please send to admin for assessment.
I am sure that many people here will appreciate it.

          Thanks

  56. Mjones on September 20, 2020 at 8:30 pm

It’s a cosmetic and it wont work. Think of neutrogena acne face wash you buy at CVS for acne compared to accutane effectiveness. Neutrogena just washes away the oil and dries your face while accutane gets rid of acne. Cosmetic does crap while prescription drug solves or works 10000x better. Same thing with this fake me out WAY cosmetic.

Mjones, I understand where you’re coming from, but your comment is only speculative at this point. Let’s at least see what the trial #s were please, then make definitive statements.

  57. Jayjames on September 21, 2020 at 3:18 am

I have a question for Yoda seeing as you seem pretty experienced with minox/fin. If you wanted to test minoxidil but didn’t want to endure a full head shed without knowing whether it was effective for you personally, is it a reasonable idea to test it everyday for a few months on one patch of your head to verify whether you respond well to it and then commit to the full head if you reckon you do. Or does applying it to one patch induce a shed everywhere?

    • Yoda on September 21, 2020 at 12:18 pm

JJ, I’ve heard from credible docs that minox affects more than just the area that you directly apply it to. One can deduct that the drug gets absorbed into the skin and its effect spreads, is not localized. My own experience is that I never experienced a noticeable or “bad shed”, with my initial foray with topical 2%, then 5% now concentrations up to 15%, nor on oral. Possibly some slight shedding, which is a good sign. If you continue to shed it’s probably a sign that you don’t have DHT under control. Hope that helps.

      • JayJames on September 22, 2020 at 5:47 am

Ahhh ok, interesting. Thanks for the heads up. Also did you not have any sides with oral minoxidil? Like I thought, seeing as it is medically used to lower high blood pressure, that taking it would guarantee a lowering of blood pressure as an effect rather than a side effect. Also (sorry for the barrage of questions Yoda) you said in an earlier comment that prp only caused shedding and nothing else- did the hair you shed grow fully back or was it an active regression of your progress? Thanks a lot for replying to all us users in search of some answers?

        • Yoda on September 22, 2020 at 2:53 pm

No problem JJ, besides my old man rants on Yoda’s pet peeves here, I’m happy to relay info based on my years of experience. As far as sides with oral, I started with 2.5 mg with no sides, bumped up to 5mg fairly quickly though. At 5mg increased body hair growth which wasn’t that pronounced and hit a plateau, some water retention. BP went down ever so slightly, maybe a point or two on each reading. This is good news for Yoda as I have had borderline BP for many years. Therefore, mainly for the BP effect I bumped up to 10mg per day. This further lowered my BP, don’t think it had much impact on hair. It did increase water retention so I take a diuretic which also helps with BP. Please note, this is all under a doctors supervision, both my derm and GP. I wouldn’t recommend that you start minox with oral, topical is the 1st line of defense. If you want to be conservative start with 2% , if no issues bump to 5%. If you need more juice consider compounded minx at higher concentrations. Minox is “dose dependent” and my feeling is that for many after time you’ll need to bump up or eventually add oral. Also need to make sure that your DHT is under control with an anti-androgen like fin or dut, or else your just pissing in the wind.
As far as PRP, the hair I shed eventually grew back, however shedding is not the major issue. In Yoda’s opinion PRP is basically useless unless you are very young and/or a woman in the early stages of hair loss. Most of the positive results are not typical, PRP is very effective for hair transplant docs to separate you from your money!! 🙁

          • Jayjames on September 24, 2020 at 7:17 am

Ahhhhhh ok! Very interesting thanks again Yoda ?

Hi Yoda i am like you been fighting male pattern loss since minoxidil 2% came out in uk in 1987 and have spent loads of £££ of products including ru58841 which i bought premade and my own mix different minoxidil some with medroxyprogesterone in 4-5% minox and that did help in my younger years but i now have the classic horseshoe loss. I have tried ds labs spectral products which used to have minoxidil in but they now use nanoxidil has anyone seen there cbd with nanoxidil its a bit pricey for uk about £46 a bottle i was tempted to try but i tried trinov but the bioscalin once a week product with there other male pattern treatment you could use them both together as i do no longer want to use minoxidil anymore any thoughts Yoda and others as i am fed up spending £££.

Bonsoir, ce WAY-316606 qui devrait arriver d’ici la fin de l’année en Italie sera-t-il un cosmétique vendu en ligne ou un réel médicament ? Merci

    • Follicle Thought on September 21, 2020 at 4:24 pm

It is a cosmetic product Bastien, there is a high possibility that the product linked in this thread is the actual WAY-316606 analog we have been waiting for.

  60. Bastien on September 21, 2020 at 5:33 pm

Kintor and a few others look pretty good. No problem for speaking French, but please use Google Translate first before your next message. Thanks

Hi FT. do you know what happened to these guys? what are they doing now?

Most likely some toxicology studies and preparing for a phase 1 trial.

  62. Brian on September 24, 2020 at 12:28 pm

Thanks for the advice Yoda. Just a quick update. I’m still on my first dose. There wasn’t nearly as much in the shipment as expected. There seems to be some confusion over the dosage amounts too. The pharmacies are selling 2 vials and advertising it as a 3 month supply? Would really appreciate some clarification. This stuff seems to have helped my hair grow after one dose. But they’re selling it for liquid gold prices. The company needs to have better communication for sure. My next order isn’t arriving until Monday or Tuesday… I’m excited to have some new growth, but it’s still going to take at least 6 weeks to get significant coverage for most bald men. I’m not sold on the once weekly application yet and still not sure if it needs to be combined with other topicals. I believe Its advertised for temporary hair loss too so hopefully the company will clarify… don’t get too excited because it starts new growth quickly but not sure if the gains will continue. No new growth in front at all but definitely around temple area.

      Brian, thanks for the update.
      Do you also microneedle?
Do you take Propecia or Avodart?

Hii admin any update from Giuliani about way 316606

      • Follicle Thought on October 1, 2020 at 6:42 pm

Hi Khan, unfortunately I’ve not been able to get an update from anyone at the Giuliani team anymore. I hope they did not receive too many emails. I would say though, I’m close to 99% that the product linked in these comments is in fact the product that Dr. Marzani told me about, it does not seem likely there would be 2 separate products released around SFRP1. Now, I suppose we can see how the users who try the product do with it.

    • Henk on October 12, 2020 at 11:31 am

      Hi Brian,

Can you please tell me if u are still using this product and how it is so far?
Normally products start to work after 3 months (Finasteride, Minoxidil), how many months are u using this product so far?

Please let me know and thanks for giving it a try!

      Kind regards,
      Henk

  63. MRKA on October 2, 2020 at 4:27 am

Judging by users on IESON, the product does nothing for AA. But it may be too early to come to this conclusion. Due to the depth of a follicle it may take at least two weeks to reach the skin surface once hair starts growing at average speed. It is therefore a fata morgana to see new hairs after just two weeks of application. Thats why I never believe people who see results after less than a month of application.

Having said all this, the product may be beneficial in combination with Propecia or Avodart.

    Only Giuliani can answer this.

    • Follicle Thought on October 2, 2020 at 9:53 am

I do not know whether this product does anything for AGA, however I am 100% certain that the product has not been used for long enough to be evaluated for efficacy yet. It takes a solid 3-3.5 months to get an initial idea of efficacy. It’s been 1 month so far.

      • Reza on October 4, 2020 at 4:42 pm

Where can this hair loss medicine be obtained, is it oral or topical?

        • Follicle Thought on October 5, 2020 at 11:25 am

Hi Reza, please see the link that Phil has just shared, it’s topical by the way.

  64. Phil on October 5, 2020 at 10:28 am

I bought some ISFRP-1 2 Vials from the link that Fabio posted (https://www.parafarmaciacravero.com/bioscalin-attivatore-capillare-isfrp-1-2-fiale-10499.html). It took about 3 weeks for the package to arrive on the east coast US. I applied the first dose yesterday and am following the directions of applying once a week. I’ll follow up with results in a month or so once I have anything to report!

In my opinion this product is clearly the one that Giuliani said was coming to market later this year. I have a good friend that lives in Slovenia and he was in Italy a few weeks ago. While there he saw this product being marketed heavily at a few pharmacies he passed by. It makes no sense that they would have another product coming to market as well.

Fingers crossed that I have something good to report back to you all!

    • Follicle Thought on October 5, 2020 at 11:28 am

Thanks for sharing Phil, we are looking forward to hearing your results.

@FollicleThought there is nothing in that italian link to say that product is the WAY analog

    • Follicle Thought on October 12, 2020 at 4:24 pm

The likeliness of it being the WAY analog could not be much higher, D1.

  66. Lav on October 16, 2020 at 10:06 am

Brian, plz give us your hair growth update

  67. Brian on October 18, 2020 at 7:44 pm

I’ve been using the product 3-4 weeks and it’s helped me a little bit. At this point, I’d say the product is a little better than Minoxidil. I decided to start with a loading dose of applying the product twice a day for the first two weeks. The company is still insisting that once weekly is enough and they’re probably right. If used too much, it will make your head really shiny and I don’t need any help there lol.

It’s too early for me to tell if the growth will continue and if the product will beat Minoxidil. But I still have a lot of miniaturization. I saw more improvement to my hair follicles during the first and second week, and more loss thereafter.

Maybe the loss that I’ve seen recently is a positive. But I’m still not sure if the Minoxidil works against this product. It seems like I go backwards when using Minoxidil 6 days and the Isprf-1 once a week. Going to try it once a week moving forward … but still might mix the two products. Too early to tell about combining…

    • Reza on October 19, 2020 at 1:29 pm

      Thanks Brian

    • MRKA on October 21, 2020 at 7:23 am

This is the big question! Do two totally different topicals provide synergistic benefits or can it be counterproductive?

Surely an antiandrogen plus a proven topical has synergistic benefits but in this case…not sure..

      • Abbotsville on December 30, 2020 at 2:36 pm

You would think that different approaches, ie Minoxidil and WAY316606 etc would have an additive effect since the MOA is to prevent hairloss but good question. I have not seen any studies to address this question but have seen others use multiple products with some success.

    • Nick123 on October 24, 2020 at 11:40 am

Thanks for the update Brian, please continue to keep us updated!

Have you been taking before/after pictures per chance? I feel like that’d be really helpful in determining if it works.

  68. Lav on October 18, 2020 at 11:29 pm

    Thanks for sharing brian,

  69. Brian on October 30, 2020 at 12:42 am

Does anyone know about the Signal Revolution foam by Bioscalin? I’ve noticed it’s available on EBay. I think it’s been sold in Italy for quite some time? It uses sandalore and it’s a foam. Here is a link to an article:

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.sciencealert.com/hair-follicles-can-smell-things-radical-new-way-treat-baldness-odorants-olfactory-receptors-or2at4/amp

Will update more about the Isprf-1 asap.
I have tried taking pictures, but the light setting can be tricky and I don’t want to give anyone false hope about any product. The iSFRP-1 is a very new product with pros and cons and it needs some improvements in my opinion, but does have some potential.

      Any update on your progress?

  70. Follicle Thought on October 30, 2020 at 11:22 am

Unfortunately, my communication with Giuliani has ceased. Unless someone is on vacation I do not expect there is too much compelling data to share regarding this product.

  71. Ed on November 6, 2020 at 2:19 am

Hi Brian, two weeks later now. Do you see a difference? Many thanks!

  72. Lav on November 7, 2020 at 1:16 am

    Hi admin,
    Any news about official launch

  73. Brian on November 12, 2020 at 6:58 pm

    Hi everyone,

I’ve decided to stop using this product for several reasons:

    1. The cost is too high given the amount of product received and the shipping fees are extra. The shipping time is too slow as well, especially with Italy being hit hard by Covid.
    2. The results were decent, but its not quite the powerhouse I had hoped for given the time it takes to see results, the costs and the amount of product received. The consistency of the product is very poor, but it has a nice aroma. There’s not a lot of product in each vial and its absorbed really quickly which is not a good thing since there’s such a small amount.
    3. The manufacturer hasn’t been very transparent about the product. Many people are willing to spend their hard earned money on hair loss products that have big hopes, but are really lackluster. I hope the manufacturer isn’t playing too much into people’s hope for a cure.
    4. The results fade quickly once the product is no longer being used.

In conclusion, after about a 4 week trial and about $250 out of pocket, here are my thoughts:

    1. The product is not horrible, but it’s very early stage and there’s definitely room for a lot of improvement. I don’t know if the company will make it in time (win the race for a treatment) given all of the other products slated for release soon. The product should be available in a foam and should be for intensive use. People who have lost their hair for 20 years or more don’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for a small amount of treatment that’s only intended for once weekly application… it’s just not cutting it. I think this product works better for short term hair loss. But nonetheless, part of being one of the first users comes with the experimental factor. If you’re eager for relief and have some extra money to spend, this product might be worth trying.
    2. The company would be wise to get this product into as many hands as possible and make it more accessible to people worldwide so users can report the benefits or lack thereof, a good company would do so and respond properly unless there’s only the intent to benefit financially. But they’re going to lose the race unless they come up with a better plan and quickly.

The initial results were better than the subsequent results. The consistency is horrible, combined with the high cost, small amount of product and long shipping delays its just simply not worth the cost. If I could buy the product frequently for a much lesser price it may have more potential.

Save your money for now until the manufacturer significantly improves the product and has more transparency, but this product might still have some potential down the road… it’s just not there yet. Just opinion.

  74. Brian on November 14, 2020 at 12:49 pm

*Sorry if I’m contradicting myself. I write in s hurry sometimes. The product is worth trying, but only to see if it works for you specifically. And the long term results are slow. The initial usage gave a kick start to my follicles. Just ask me if any questions. I will check the thread occasionally over the next few weeks.

    • Follicle Thought on November 17, 2020 at 7:00 pm

Levis, I don’t mind you encouraging Brian to take more time with the WAY product, but making the accusations about being a paid commenter can’t be allowed here. The previous post will have to be edited or deleted.

  75. Lav on November 15, 2020 at 2:21 am

I believe this product is good enough for those who are lost their hair in last 2 years

  76. Nick123 on November 15, 2020 at 9:12 am

    @Brian

Thanks for the informative post, I may try this product but due to how expensive it is, I may just apply it once a week like they state instead..

  77. Brian on November 18, 2020 at 3:21 pm

If you have any questions, let me know and I’ll try to help. I’m not saying the product doesn’t work, but it’s very costly and takes time for long term results. I saw a kickstart to my follicles during the first week of usage, but the gains slowed down after subsequent use. I did receive another shipment recently, but it took almost 6 weeks to arrive. I would have preferred to get my money back, but I guess I’ll keep using it until it runs out again. I’m not sure if the product is readily available at this time even in Italy.

    • Nick123 on November 25, 2020 at 9:40 am

      @Brian

I’m contemplating using this once a week like they advise. So please keep us updated with any more progress you make from the new shipment

      • Zach on December 15, 2020 at 11:01 pm

How do you purchase from the link? The page where you add shipping details does not give an option to choose an out of country option, only within Italy it seems.

  78. davelee30 on December 8, 2020 at 7:45 am

I really think many like me are still grasping at straws with these cosmetic products like i have already mentioned above i have tried a lot of topicals and many natural and the drugs that are supposed to help and learned a lot of lessons over 45 years of fighting mpb i am lucky to still have some hair at my age.
Like many i can still be drawn into parting with my money and as to Bioscalin on there web site they recommend using their energy products for mpb and the wn treatment you can use if you want but it will not grow any new hair in shiny bald areas at this time until i see pictures of many men that have used a product for at least 6-12 months that can do this then i think we are fooling ourselves.
Aso although feedback on amazon is doubted there is some feedback on spectral nanoxidil that maybe better than minoxidil without the side effects as many know ds labs has been in business many years and they do have there negatives but on the whole quite positive and there new cbd with nanoxidil which seems only available on certain sites and is a bit expensive maybe worth a try.
There does not seem to much positive feedback on bioscalin products and even there web site seem to think that energy is the one for me to use which has me thinking the feedback is not there so i will not now save my money and try ds labs product which also have many ingredients that can help even regrow some hair until something comes along with great feedback and admin this web site is great for news keep it up.

Hai I’m Harry, from India. I’ve hair fall problem since 2016… I’m looking forward for the arrival of WAY 316606 hair fall medicine.. when will it be available in India.

    • Follicle Thought on December 29, 2020 at 10:52 am

Hari, please review the comments to learn that the WAY-316606 drug will not be released and has taken the form of an OTC alternative. Not many people have tried it but so far there are no compelling results.

  81. Brian on February 23, 2021 at 12:34 am

I took some time off from using this product. But since starting up again recently, I have seen some more gains. It can definitely be used in combination with minoxidil. Not a lot of growth on the front of my head, but this product still seems to have potential. The problems are as follows:

    1. It’s horribly expensive and you must pay shipping costs too.
    2. The amount that you will receive is almost like a sample amount and it’s not intended for daily use, but it should be in my opinion.
    3. The consistency is rather poor and it’s like a watered down serum.

I believe that if they make improvements to this product it will help a lot of people.
Any changes to the product should include intensive use, possibly a foam, be much more generous with the amount, and lower the price. If these changes are made to the product, it has a lot of potential. I’m trying the Bioscalin signal revolution foam next and I think it’s a very similar product, but I’m not quite sure. I’m probably going to wait until this product is improved until ordering more…it is just too expensive at this point. It seems to work, it just takes a lot of time and money at this point. I think the product will work much quicker and more cost-effectively if it’s improved.

Would like to read other people’s comments who have tried this product.
    Just opinion.

      • Tushar Vernekar’ on September 25, 2021 at 5:10 am

As provided a link in your email I had ordered one month supply of way316606 and have mad the payment. I had received the confirmation of receipt of payment on 13 September 2021. Thereafter I emailed them to confirm whether the order has been dispatched or not but till date they have not responded. It would be highly appreciated if you could please intervene and let me know the actual position.

  82. Brian on February 23, 2021 at 12:50 am

Further, this product definitely grows new hairs, but it’s simple not strong enough to get rid of a bald dome. This product needs to be 5-10 times stronger to come even close to getting your hair back. Or applied much more frequently. I think the chemicals that they are using work just not strong enough. Id say the current product works about 3 times better than minoxidil and you have to keep using it or the gains subside… which could be fixed with a stronger dosage. Id say keep your money in your pocket for now, and keep the faith. This stuff has really good potential with some tweaking in the lab… just opinion.

  83. Tushar on May 30, 2021 at 1:06 pm
