Follicum WCHR 2019 Poster

Swedish biotechnology company Follicum announced yesterday it has filed a new patent application for its topical formulation of FOL-005.

The news came via a press release on Follicum’s website. The press release mentions that:

“With the new formulation, it will be possible to study several different doses and increase the dosage frequency in a simple way, since the individual patient himself / herself will take care of the treatment at home. This simplifies the study and means that the number of visits to the clinic during the study period will be minimized.”

An increase in dosage and frequency could improve upon the results that Follicum saw in its phase 2a trial completed last year.
